Bedford County Antique Tractor Association Rules 2025

  1. Farm Stock and Antique tractors must be 1900-1959 yr. models.
  2. Serial numbers must be intact and not tampered with.
  3. All tractors must retain engine and stock appearance.
  4. Must be signed up before class starts.
  5. Time permitting, unlimited hooks per tractor.
  6. Add on weights are allowed. Tractors must weigh within limits of each class (100 lb. tolerance)  (See class specific rules for weight bracket requirements)
  7. Gas or diesel fuel only – no turbos allowed.
  8. No differential or driveline alterations. WHEELIE BARS REQUIRED ON ALL TRACTORS.
  9. Clevis or ring hitch with 3” hole – no more than 1” thickness on rear of hole. No ball hitches allowed. No spring hitches. Two-point hitches must be stationary in all four positions. (See class specific rules for hitch position requirements)
  10. Tractors must start pull with a tight chain.
  11. Driver must remain in seat during pull with at least one hand on the steering wheel. NO BOUNCING and NO RODEOING!! 
  12. Each puller has two attempts to pass the 40 ft. mark. Pull is official after 40 ft. mark is passed. Pull is over when forward motion of sled is stopped or red flag is dropped. Footage will be stopped when tire or any part of sled touches boundary line.
  13. Front tires may not leave the ground more than 18” during the pull.
  14. Any weight or object falling from tractor during a pull will result in disqualification. 
  15. No one is allowed on the track except pullers and officials during pull. One adult is allowed on track with child or   inexperienced driver. Person under age 15 must have track official, guardian, or parental approval before pulling. Kill switch   is MANDATORY for all persons under the age of 15.
  16. A protest must be filed within weight class before next class begins. Any tractor found illegal by track officials will be   disqualified. Protestor’s tractor will be checked first.
  17. Puller will be disqualified for refusing to comply with rules, unsportsmanlike conduct, intoxication, or failing to stop when red flagged by track official.
  18. Track officials have the authority to approach any noticed violation to rules and advise procedure to correct.
  19. Tractors will reweigh immediately after each pull and have drawbars and RPM’s checked.
  20. All pullers should read and familiarize themselves with rules and classes before entering the pull. 
  21. TRACK OFFICIALS DECISION IS ALWAYS FINAL.
  22. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON GROUNDS. 


“ANTIQUE” CLASS SPECIFIC RULES

  1. Factory high R.P.M.’s only – 20% override allowed.
  2. Tractors may run MSD type ignition systems.
  3. Cut tires are allowed - 18.4 factory molded rubber allowed in all weight classes.
  4. Front weight bracket may extend 11ft. from center of rear axle.
  5. Clevis or ring hitch must extend 18” from center of rear axle and may be up to 20” high from ground.
  6. 4 M.P.H speed limit.
  7. All General Rules apply


“FARM STOCK” CLASS SPECIFIC RULES

  1. Tractors must have factory or factory replacement blocks and factory carbs as per tractor model.
  2. Tractors shall not have MSD type ignitions but can run electronic ignitions.  
  3. Factory high R.P.M.'s only- 20% override allowed.  
  4. No fuel more than 93 octane allowed. Random fuel checks may be done at any time. If tractor has two fuel tanks one must be empty.  
  5. Maximum tire size in 3000-6500Ib classes is 15.S uncut factory molded rubber. Maximum tire size 7000Ib and up is 18.4 uncut factory molded rubber. 
  6. Front weight bracket may extend 10ft. from center of rear axle.  
  7. Clevis or ring hitch must extend 18" from center of rear axle and may be up to 18" high from ground.  
  8. 3 M.P.H. speed limit.  
  9. All General Rules apply.
